Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science & Technology (QUEST), Nawabshah, spans over 457 acres and is home to state-of-the-art academic and research facilities. The campus is divided into multiple academic sectors, including dedicated blocks for engineering, science, IT, and management disciplines. A fully equipped library, hostels, research centers, and a well-planned residential colony make QUEST a hub of innovation and learning.
The university is recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and is a proud member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities. The institute fosters a culture of excellence and prepares students for the dynamic challenges of the modern world.
Established as Sindh University Engineering College, Jamshoro, the institution aimed to provide quality engineering education to students from Sindh’s interior regions.
Under the Education Policy of 1972, the Government of Pakistan decided to upgrade the institution into a full-fledged university and shift it to Nawabshah.
The first batch of engineering students began their academic journey in February 1974 at the newly relocated campus in Nawabshah.
Through an amendment in the Sindh University Act, 1972, the campus was officially recognized as an additional campus of the University of Sindh.
On 15th March 1977, the campus was elevated to a full university and renamed Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Nawabshah.
Mehran University moved to Jamshoro, and Nawabshah’s campus was restructured as Mehran University College of Engineering and Technology (MUCET).
On 7th August 1996, MUCET was granted independent university status and was renamed Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science & Technology (QUEST).
QUEST expanded its reach with the establishment of Engineering College Larkano, a constituent college to serve students in upper Sindh.
The Honourable Chief Minister of Sindh officially upgraded the Larkano college to QUEST Campus Larkano through a government notification.
