Students Financial Aid Office (SFAO)
The Students Financial Aid Office (SFAO) manages scholarships and financial assistance programs in collaboration with philanthropists and donor agencies. SFAO has administered the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme—awarding 2,548 laptops in Phases I–V (2015–2019) to eligible PhD, M.Phil, MS, ME, Bachelor & B.Tech students per HEC criteria. Numerous government and private donors also fund loans and scholarships for meritorious and needy students on SFAO’s recommendations.

- University Merit Scholarship: Top five students in each discipline receive an annual merit scholarship.
- FATA–Balochistan Merit Scholarship: HEC-funded assistance for students from FATA and Balochistan under reserved provincial quotas.
- Foreign Students Scholarship: Economic Affairs Division–funded scholarships for students on foreign reserved seats in bachelor programs.
- IEP–SAC Saudi Arabia Scholarship: Engineers Pakistan Saudi Arabian Centre funds needy bachelor students on poverty-cum-merit basis.
- Late Imdad Muhammad Shah Merit Scholarship: Family-funded merit awards for fresh bachelor batches on poverty-cum-merit basis.
- Sindh Education Endowment Fund: Government of Sindh–funded poverty-cum-merit assistance for bachelor students.
- Minority Scholarship: Ministry of Minority Affairs–funded awards for non-Muslim bachelor students on poverty-cum-merit basis.
- Need-Cum-Merit Scholarship (Usher & Zakat): Sindh Usher & Zakat Board–funded poverty-cum-merit awards for bachelor students.
- National Bank Loan Scheme: “Karz-e-Hasna” interest-free loans from National Bank under specified conditions.
- Pay It Forward: Private-donor merit-based scholarships supporting top-performing students.
- Poverty-Cum-Merit Scholarship (Khairpur): Khairpur District government–funded awards for local bachelor students.
- United Memon Jamait Scholarship: Community-funded poverty-cum-merit assistance for bachelor students from the Memon community.
- Late Sayed Mohbullah Shah Merit Scholarship: Family-funded merit awards for bachelor students.
- Diya Pakistan Scholarship: Diya Pakistan Trust funds needy and deserving students for up to four years.
- Late Atta Muhammad Soomro Merit Scholarship: Family-funded merit assistance for bachelor students.
- PPL Welfare Trust: Poverty-cum-merit awards for students from Kashmore, Shahdadkot, and Sanghar districts.
- Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Scholarship: Sindh Bait-ul-Mal funds needy bachelor students across all batches.
- Indigenous Scholarship: Sindh HEC–funded assistance for BE/BS/ME/MS/M.Phil/PhD students lacking financial resources.
- Karwan-e-Ilm Scholarship Foundation: Poverty-cum-merit awards for needy bachelor students.
- Directorate of Colleges & Higher Education, Balochistan (BEEF Scholarship): Poverty-cum-merit assistance for bachelor students in Balochistan.
- Students Support Endowment Fund: University committee–recommended grants to cover education expenses for deserving students.
- IFTA Welfare Trust: NGO-funded humanitarian support, including tuition fees for orphans and needy students.
- The Citizens Foundation Scholarship: Private foundation supports alumni pursuing tertiary education at accredited, lower-cost institutions.
