Dr. Javed Ahmed Laghari obtained his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from BUET Khuzdar, Pakistan, in 2007. He went on to complete his Master of Engineering Science degree and earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Power Systems from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, in 2012 and 2015, respectively. In 2015, he joined Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology (QUEST), Nawabshah, Sindh, Pakistan, as an Assistant Professor. He currently holds the position of Associate Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at QUEST, Nawabshah. His primary research interests include Power System Control in Smart Grids, the application of Computational Intelligence, optimization techniques, machine learning, and deep learning in power systems. He also focuses on Islanding Operation in Distributed Generation, conventional, adaptive, and intelligent load shedding schemes, islanding detection techniques, Load Frequency Control, Automatic Generation Control (AGC) of power systems, and cyber-physical protection of power systems. Dr. Laghari has an extensive publication record, with more than 30 technical papers published in international journals and IEEE conferences. His contributions are notably featured in high-ranking, ISI-indexed journals in the field of power systems. Furthermore, he actively serves as an international reviewer for several prestigious journals and conferences.
