Biography

I, Dr. Wajid Ali Shaikh, currently work as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, QUEST, Nawabshah, Sindh, Pakistan. My bibliography is as follows: I was born in Larkana on 8th March 1970. Since 1976, I started living in Hyderabad because of my father’s job initiated at Hyderabad Development Authority (HAD) as a director. My primary, secondary and intermediate educations have been done at the Government Sindh National Academy, Middle School Latifabad, Hyderabad, and Model School (old campus of the University of Sindh), Hyderabad, and the Government Degree College, Latifabad, Hyderabad, respectively. I completed a B.Sc (Hons), M.Sc (Hons) and M.Phil, in Mathematics from the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Sciences (IMCS), University of Sindh, Jamshoro. Also, I got the degree of a postgraduate diploma in computer science from the same IMCS. I started my career as a lecturer (contract) in Mathematics, Department of Basic Sciences and Related Studies (BSRS), Mehran UET, Jamshoro, in 2000 and served up to 2010. In 2010, I joined as a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Sciences and Technology (QUEST), Nawabshah, and was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2017. In 2019, I started my PhD in Applied Mathematics at the Mehran UET, Jamshoro, and completed it in March 2022. My area of research is in applied mathematics, and around 24 articles have been published in various reputable HEC-recognised journals.
